HISTORY & MISSION

Complete care for women who have a normal pregnancy and birth, supportive care, postpartum care and support, normal neonatal care, breastfeeding support, and normal gynecological care also known as well women care.

At Childbirth Options LLC we believe that pregnancy, labor and birth are normal events in a woman’s life, as well as a normal function of their bodies, not an illness. We strongly trust and believe that pregnancy and childbirth should be experienced in a safe and pleasant environment. As midwives we want women to have the right to choose the care that the Lord has blessed us with the word of God. Women have the right to choose their care provider, the place of birth and who will be present at the birth. As healthcare providers we are obligated to explain all procedures and interventions that are available, suggested or needed during the pregnancy, labor and birth, which helps families make informed decisions.

Childbirth Options strives to give the expecting mother and baby the best start at a new, healthy long life together.
This includes:

  • Having his or her mother obtain excellent prenatal care

  • Having no drugs introduced into their bodies during pregnancy, labor, or postpartum

  • Being born in a supernatural birth environment.

  • Mother and baby having the special hour for making the bond stronger

  • Having the opportunity of being breastfed within the first hour of birth as know as the Golden Hour.

As midwives, we practice under the Laws and Rules of the Florida Statute 467 and rule chapter 64B24. We are fully trained in a three-year program, licensed by the state, and carry malpractice insurance as required by law.

You will meet all the midwife’s assistants, all who are certified with CPR and NRP.

Midwife means “with woman”
It’s your body, your baby, and God's birth. A midwife will take the time to get to know you and care for you as a person. Midwives provide personalized care with Holy Spirit presences. With a midwife, you become an active partner in your care working with your midwife to decide the course of your pregnancy and birth in God's Way.

Birth is safe
Numerous studies have shown that for healthy, low-risk women, midwife-attended births—whether at home, in a birth center, or at a hospital —are just as safe, if not safer, than physician-attended hospital births. Midwives are trained to recognize and treat any situations. Because midwives offer one-on-one individualized care, they are more likely than other practitioners to address any questions quickly and efficiently. We strive to have the Holy Spirit present during your pregnancy, birth, to show you the Love of our Lord Jesus Christ and to have a pain free childbirth with the authority and presence of the Holy Spirit.

All medical interventions have risks and benefits.
Midwives are trained to minimize interventions and respect the natural birth process, which yields better outcomes for mothers and babies.

Birth is more than a medical event

Whether you are a first-time mom or a fifth-time mom, a new baby will change your life in wonderful and supernatural ways. The outcome of a birth is more than a healthy mom and baby—it’s a family. A midwife can help your new family get off to a great start, whether it’s by helping with breastfeeding, or just listening also introducing to the ultimate Love of Jesus Christ. Midwives treat you as a whole person, and help your belief grow stronger with Jesus Christ throughout pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.

Labor and Birth

Having an out of hospital birth requires trust in your body, trust in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in the birthing process, trust in who is taking care of you, and taking responsibility as well as accountability for your care. It is natural to have some fears surrounding birth, but rebuke it in Jesus Name and make sure you express these concerns so we can empower you with the authority of our Lord. As you receive education and information, as you actively participate in making decisions over your care with the power of the Holy Spirit, and your trust in the birth process increases, these fears will totally go away with his presence.

Home birth

Having a home birth will provide you with a tranquil, comfortable and familiar environment in which to bring your baby in. If you bring the Holy Spirit you will see that grow and even feel so heavenly that you will not feel the pressures of contractions. No routine vaginal checks are done. You will be able to move around and change positions. You will be able to eat and drink as desired. Total support will be provided, including words of assurance, massage, counter pressure, etc. We will follow your well-being closely, as well as the baby’s. We bring all equipment necessary like oxygen and medication to stop excessive bleeding. We do not provide any type of anesthesia for the birth except the Lords presence. We do perineal guard to avoid tears but in the event that you do tear we do provide local anesthesia.

Water Birth/ Water Use During Labor

The use of water during your labor can be key to help you relax. A regular tub can be used for you to submerge yourself during labor. If you desire to plan for a water birth and do not have a big tub or Jacuzzi, ask us for information on how you can rent a portable tub.

The Family During Labor

During labor, direct support by a partner or close family member is encouraged. You are free to have anyone in your family attending the birth. In some occasions, the amount of people, or the conduct of the people around you, may interfere with your labor and birth. If this happens, we may need to limit their presence, for your benefit, and that of the baby. Otherwise, we believe birth to be an intimate, as well as a family event; therefore, we will respect your choice of the amount of people participating. If you have other children and wish them to be present as well, an adult, other than the direct support person, must be present to supervise them. We do encourage participation of siblings
