Midwifery Package for Home Birth
Free pregnancy testing.
Free 1st time consultation for parents/family.
Complete prenatal care.
Supportive prenatal care (followed by subsequent hospital birth with doctor for women with certain risks).
Office visits that start on time and last 45-60 minutes.
24 hours direct contact with the midwife for Emergency or questions with concerns requiring immediate attention.
Laboratory testing done
Ultrasound referrals (when needed or woman desires price not included)
Verbal and written education and information during pregnancy.
Childbirth classes for our clients- in a group or private.
Physician consultation and back-up care (If needed price not included)
Continuous care during labor and birth, at the comfort of the woman’s own home
Water birth. (Aquadoula Rental if desired, prie not included)
Immediate postpartum care for the mother and newborn baby.
Postpartum care at the woman’s home at the 24th hour and at the 72nd hour after birth; 24 hour telephone contact. Postpartum visit at office takes place at the 2nd week and the 6th week after the birth.
Breastfeeding support.
